Postby TRM » Fri Apr 21, 2017 9:32 pm

Hello,

after position the window in the upper richt corner (snapped in), the player wont remember the position and always starts in default state.

Im using version 17.4.0 rev 8495 (mpv 0.14.0).

Desktop: Cinnamon 3.2.7 Distro: Linux Mint 18.1 Serena

I can't reproduce the problem in my computer. Maybe if the window is partially outside of the screen the window manager would place it in another position.

Hi rvm, what os you are using?

You are using Win7, i've seen in the other thread. May you can test it, using VirtualBox?

I was able to reproduce the problem on Ubuntu 16.04. I'll try to find a fix.

It looks like the problem doesn't happen if SMPlayer is built with Qt 5 (instead of Qt 4).

There are deb packages for Ubuntu 16.04 (I think Linux Mint 18.1 is based on it) compiled with Qt 5 here:
https://software.opensuse.org/download. ... e=smplayer

Could you test if the problem gets fixed in your system with those packages?

Ha. Thats it. Now the position has been read correctly and the position is fixed :-)

(Linux Mint 18.1 is based on Ubuntu 16.04)

How did you got the wrong qt Version?

Thank you.
