I'm looking for ways to use the portable version as a player included on DVD's that will auto-prompt a user upon insertion of the disc into their computer. We get videos from local agencies (body cams, convenience stores, surveillance systems, etc) and sometimes they don't play in WMP, or they will play in VLC but only after adjusting demux settings. In the case that we need to share these videos it can become a hassle having to explain to others how to play them. If anyone here is familiar with surveillance systems you may have come across an app called WatchGuard (WGVPlayer). It does exactly what I'm trying to do but I'd like to try this with SMPlayer portable. The WatchGuard player has a nice & tidy window with a playlist panel of all videos on the disc. SMPlayer, to my knowledge, doesn't have a similar one-window view that makes things easy for the inexperienced user in the way the WatchGuard app does. Below is a screenshot of the WGVPlayer to help illustrate my point. If I could manipulate the GUI of SMPlayer portable to display contents in this way then I could share videos on DVD or CD without the need for the recipient to install SMPlayer on their machine while taking advantage of the awesomeness that is SMPlayer. I could continue to use WGVPlayer, that is until there's a file it won't play, so it's always nice to have another option.
Any ideas?
