DVD Menu - how to select them?

Some DVD's have a menu, like 'Start movie' 'Chapters' 'Extra's' 'Settings'
It strikes me that nothing is happening when I click on them.

Maybe it is some setting that I need to enable?
Maybe this feature is not supported with SMPlayer?
(I just recently started using SMPlayer)

Be sure the action for the mouse left button is set to "activate option under mouse in DVD menus" in preferences -> keyboard and mouse -> mouse.

For what it's worth, SMPlayer's Title/Chapter items in the context menu can be much quicker than built-in DVD/Blu-ray menus, which tend to bombard viewers with clunky interfaces obscured by needlessly long, non-interactive introduction clips. Switching between mplayer/mpv backends shows different Title/Chapter information. I believe mplayer shows chapter length, for example.

Also note that when I use MPC-HC and drag+drop the folder (with VIDEO_TS as sub-folder) into MPC-HC it will start with the menu.
When I do the same with SMPlayer, SMPlayer will play the DVD immediately (no menu) and only in the very end, when the video stops,
then SMPlayer will present the menu.
So the menu is at the end, instead of at the start.
When I play the DVD on the media player in the living room, the menu will be at the beginning, similar to MPC-HC.
