Hello,
I want to ask how SMplayer communicates with mplayer (or mpv). I guess it runs mplayer in slave mode and sends commands via stdin or named pipe. Is that true?
Can I somewhere see (or even edit) the command how mplayer is run?
Can I somehow send some comand to this instance of mplayer?

I'm afraid you need to modify the sources for that, since custom commands are not implemented.
