Moving the video window

I'm not sure what it's called, but MPC-HC for Windows offers an option to move the video up on your screen. Most movies that watch are 16x9. They have black bars on top and on the bottom of the display. So I can move the entire movie to the top of the screen and the subtitles (and tool bar when it pops up) are still underneath the video. My problem is a serious dislike for windows. I haven't been able to find anything similar in SMPlayer, but that doesn't mean it's not there. There are a LOT of options.
