Can't get Chromecast to work under SMPlayer V18.6

I have tried several times to watch a music video from my PC on my Chromecast connected TV
I am playing a local file in SMPlayer then select the 'Play on Chromecast' button which opens a browser window with 'Send content to your Chromecast'
I then select 'Connect to Chromecast' and select which TV to play on (I have 2 connected) and then select 'Play on Chromecast' - ALL GOOD SO FAR

The TV displays the name of the video playing in SMPlayer, and it seems to be attempting to load (scrolling Blue line), but, then the browser window displays:
'chromecast.smplayer.info says Playback Failed'

Where have I gone wrong, or does something need to be tweaked ???

I have been using: Version: 18.6.0 (revision 9075) (64-bit), since it was released

That's probably because the video uses a codec or format not supported by chromecast. I'm afraid chromecast supports only a few formats and codecs. For example AVI files won't play. List: https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/media

Thanks RVM but all my video files are MP4
Also fails with MP3

Webpage 'SMPlayer Chromecast Control' uses URL: http://169.254.192.164:8010/file-name

That page has also an option to play the video directly in the web browser or a smartphone, does the video play if you use that option?
If not, then the local IP that smplayer is using is wrong, you can change it in the smplayer preferences, in network, chromecast.

Switched Web Server IP Address Setting to my Local IP Address, instead of the DEFAULT (Link Local Address - 169.254.192.164)
Now ALL play options work fine (TV, Browser etc)

I just have one more question: Will the Chromecast function ever support the Playlist ???

Sorry just another quick revisit - Now everything is working fine, some files will not play, as follows:

On web page 'SMPLayer Chromecast Control' under 'Details' the 'URL:' is being corrupted (so far 3 out of 10 files), as:

http://xx.x.x.118:8010/Bob Lind H[\�]�H�]\��HNM��K�\

Where it should be:

http://xx.x.x.118:8010/Bob Lind ~ Elusive Butterfly (1966).mp4

Any thoughts ???

I wasn't able to reproduce this problem in my computer. I created a video with that filename and the chromecast control page displays it correctly.
