Leaving fullscreen switches to command panel mode

It seems each time SMPlayer leaves fullscreen it switches to command panel mode.

If i have a video loaded in a small window (below 580 pixels wide or something like that) the rewind and forward icons does not have drop down arrow and the fullscreen icon is not there.

Then if switch to fullscreen (press f) and leave fullscreen (press f) then it drop down arrows and the fullscreen icon is there.

If i adjust the window size by just one pixel the bar switches to the privious mode.

It seems there are two modes.
Command panel and mini control panel i think they are called.
