Playlist not docking into main player

I have been using smplayer for many years now but since loading the new version onto my new computer, I have been unable to dock the playlist into the main window, which is how I like it. When I uncheck the "the playlist window is dockable" box under playlist preferences, the playlist simply becomes its own window and I can move it around, resize it etc… but again, I’d like to dock inside the main player. Trouble is, when the "the playlist window is dockable" box is checked, the playlist anchors to the top left of my screen and cannot be moved. I used to just drag it down into the main player and it would dock on its own. The only troubleshooting info I could find online said to just drag it into the main player (as per above)… but I’m not allowed to do that for whatever reason. Please see attachment and please help!

I can't reproduce this problem in my computer. What operating system are you using?
