No right click or control bar in fullscreen

Edited: Smplayer completely ignores my right clicks and attempts to get the control bar while in fullscreen. The keyboard shortcuts work fine. The mouse cursor still shows, and I can still double-click to get out of fullscreen or use the mouse wheel to track.

I tried updating to the newest version (19.1.0 (revision 9191) (64-bit)), but it didn't help. It's actually worse, because before it did it only for some videos but now the bug is always present.

I'm on windows with an NVidia 1060 card. I use GL as output driver and Mplayer as the engine, as this is the only combination I've found that isn't laggy (all other configurations I've tried slow down or skip frames).

I tried playing with the Floating controls in Interface options, but it doesn't help either.

Any ideas?
