19.5.0 for Windows can't remember window size

I use mostly Linux but sometimes I use Windows. And SMP 19.5.0 for Windows can't remember window size. I edited the config file with the size I want the window to be when I start it (1920x1017), but when I start SMP, it's either a small window (~600x~500 pixels) or a large window, often going out of the screen edges (despite the setting not to leave the edges of the screen), other times the size is ~1200x~800. Basically, the window size is different every time. I tried using the maximize button and the close the player in order to save the setting, but that doesn't work.
Strangely, SMP has absolutely no problem to remember the window size in Linux. Windows is 8.1 x64 and so is SMP - 64-bit 19.5.0.
