unable to play any sound files on windows10 (mpv)

Try selecting a diferent audio devide in the menu Audio -> Send audio to.

No change with different audio devices.
No change with disabled antivirus.

The only pattern I see is lack of video. Any format that is purely sound (mp3, ogg, wav) won't play.
Taking the command line from log, I need to remove "--wid=1638660" for it to start playing.

I'm afraid I can't reproduce this problem in my computer.

I think I was chasing a red herring with that quoting. Apparently single quotes have no special meaning in CMD, so taking cmdline from logs verbatim makes little sense on windows. Since mpv standalone works fine, I think I need to keep looking for differences between standalone run and when smplayer starts it.
