[solved] unsharpen alternative?

I sharpened the video-quality, using smplayer's 'video' drop-down-menu and other times using unsharp (--vf-add=unsharp=la= --vf-add=unsharp=ca= --vf-add=lavfi=[unsharp=luma_amount=] --vf-add=unsharp=luma_amount=)

the problem is the lag these filters generate. Do you know any alternative to increase video-sharpness without lag? My smplayer plays videos via the mpv window.
When it gets the same sharpness as my stand-alone mpv, it lags while the stand-alone plays no problem. Do you know if the normal stand-alone mpv (which uses sharpen=3) has any additional settings (or a variation of sharpening) I could use in smplayer to play sharp videos without lag? Thank you.

add --vo=gpu and sharpen=3 works. ~no lag for low quality videos. So for low-end computers instead of using mpv's sharpen, download reshade and activate lumasharpen.fx with settings of [sharpening strength=3], [sharpening limit=1], [sample pattern = normal], [offset bias= 1]. also maybe add the following in mpv.conf
