How to compile smplayer

Hello! I see that the information is a little bit outdated but what is the current qtcore dependencies since with 4.6 I've the following error:
qvector.h:483: error: ‘<anonymous>’ cannot be thread-local because it has non-POD type ‘const std::bad_alloc&’
I think it's possible to pass that error using "return -1;" if that's enough to force compiling. And if passing that check is not such a pain.

How come when i rung apt-get build-dep smplayer that Qt does not get installed?
Should it not install Qt and everything else that it needs?

I know i can install it with apt-get install libqt4-dev, but how come that does not get installed when running build-dep?
