9354/you tune update

whats new in 9354?
i noticed this you tune update button?
is this new you tube thing you mentioned in other thread

i just put in 9354 in do i need to reinstall it (same version ) again after reading that dll message? or what version do i re install
also do i need to re install smtube 20.1.0 again or a new one

Yes, this is the new thing. You only need to reinstall when YouTube stops working.
I haven't uploaded the smtube packages yet.

when you reinstall each time, are they SAME exe versions ex 9354 then it breaks then install same 9354 again then it will auto update
or when it breaks install different exe versions like example 9400 then it will update or what ever the version is
i keep my .EXEs
btw wasnt this how you had a you tube update button long ago

You can reinstall the same version. The installer will download the latest version of youtube-dl.

you used have update you tube code in here under check updates
then removed it
now put it in again
why did you remove it before?

It was something different. It downloaded a function to decypt the youtube signatures, but I eventually added a code to smplayer which could figure out that function on its own.

EVERYTHING LOOKS OK
but i noticed 2 things

1: i noticed you added you tube/ton vid will there be a menu to add my own url like youtube/cootmaster
so i dont need bat files anymore ?

2:why is OPEN WITH SELECTED PLAYER greyed out it wont let me open anything except smplayer to play anything or use my downloaders, why it deactivated

I removed the possibility to use other players on Windows. I think this feature can be useful on Linux, but not so much on Windows. It can be difficult to configure other players, I guess very few people would use it.
