SMPlayer isn't using all my cores?

I did a quick search of the forum to see if someone else had an issue like this and the only one I found didn't really pertain to the issue I'm having(I dont think) so if I missed something, my apologies.

I realized after trying to play a 1080p .mkv file today that it lagged quite a bit and even stopped playback, I assume to catch up and I thought this was odd. so I downloaded MPC HC to see if it too had this issue (while watching a cpu monitor) and realized that indeed it was just SMPlayer that wasn't using all my cores

My question is, how do I correct this as I do prefer SMPlayer to all other programs out there and would not be very happy if I had to stop using it to watch certain videos

The version I am using is 0.6.9 (SVN r3447)

Replacing MPlayer with will give you multi threaded support in SMPlayer.

I have a build up on SF that have a multithreaded MPlayer, then you have you have to go into the preferences and change the Threads for decoding in Performance. It isn't MPlayer2, multithreaded MPlayer has been available for quite some time. Or just get a new Mplayer from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayer ... n%2033216/

Got help from Surkow last night in IRC and found out that mplayer2 fixed my issue, though I'm sure any mplayer that supports Multithread

Though I did run across an issue when changing the Screenshot directory.
Whenever I would do that and hit apply it would hang for about a minute or so, then I realized there was a folder called "USERPROFILE_FONTCONFIG_CACHE" in the directory I wanted my screenshots to save to.
Every time I'd change it to a different folder it would create this folder.

What I did to fix this was to go into \smplayer\mplayer\fonts\fonts.conf (with notepad) found the line that said
"<cachedir>USERPROFILE_FONTCONFIG_CACHE</cachedir>"
And just replaced it with a static dir along the lines of
<cachedir>C:\Program Files\SMPlayer\mplayer\USERPROFILE_FONTCONFIG_CACHE</cachedir>

That way it won't try to rebuild the fonts cache every time you change the screenshots dir.
