Issues when changing between fullscreen and windowed mode

Postby kepsux » Wed Sep 07, 2011 3:54 am

Hi! I love this player. It looks good, is lightweight, fast and plays nearly everything I throw at it. Excellent work! I do have a issue I'm hoping there is a fix for though.

When I'm playing a file in windowed mode and I change to fullscreen mode (by hitting F or double clicking in the video area) the playback continues, but it jumps forward exactly 10 seconds. It also does this on when I move from fullscreened back to windowed mode as well. Even if the video is paused it does the same jump forward.

Secondly, when the video is paused and I change to fullscreen or windowed mode (or the reverse) it unpauses and begins to playback the file as opposed to holding the paused state. I thought this might be from me clicking in the video area, but it also does this when I use the F hotkey.

Lastly...this is less of a quirk and more of a hope for some advise. I have a fairly new HP laptop with a generic Intel HD graphics card built onboard. I'm running Windows 7 with the "classic" theme (I assume this disables Aero). When I play video back (not only in SMplayer, but even in youtube videos) I get "screen tearing" in fast action scenes. Is there a mode I could set SMplayer in to reduce or eliminate the screen tearing?

Thanks for any advise!

Be sure you don't have enabled the option "add black borders on fullscreen" in preferences -> general -> video

Hey, perfect! Awesome, thank you very much! This was almost driving me away from SMPlayer, I'm thrilled you had a fix!
