The radio menu - how does it work?

How do I add the many radio stations I listen to to the radio menu? This is what I tried, which didn't work:

Open > Radio > Edit

Click "New"

Click the "Name" field, type in "Republic"

Click the "Media" fields, paste "http://216.240.133.177:2005/listen.pls"

Click "OK"

I can now see the radio stations I've added, but attempting to listen to them from the "Radio" menu doesn't work.

The radio menu was intended for radio stations broadcasted on dvb-t, and it wasn't tested for other kind of media.

In this case it fails because it tries to open the pls file from the harddrive.
