Can't disable multiple instances mode

Postby WiseLord » Sun Dec 11, 2011 4:01 pm

Despite on option in Preferences, SMPlayer always run new videos in its own window.
There is a string " WARNING: BaseGui::initializeGui: server couldn't be started" in SMPlayer log.
Full logs: http://dpaste.org/pa0cD/ for first inctance and http://dpaste.org/BSWMB/ for the second (when 1st is running).

What can be a reason? On another computer all works fine.

SMPlayer (latest from SVN) runs on KDE, 64-bit Gentoo Linux 3.1.5 kernel. Qt 4.7.4, Xorg 1.10.4.

Maybe the port to communicate with other instances is used by another application. You can try to change it in preferences.

I tried, but it didn't help.

But after recompiling world (all packages of system) problem was gone. What was a reason, I don't know.
It took about 15 hours to recompile all packages, but now all works fine.

Sorry for the trouble.
