MPlayer versions?

I alway try to use the latest builds of SMPlayer and MPlayer. For some reason I've had problems with the later MPlayer builds (through r31027, so far) from http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php . Builds after r30521 appear to break SMPlayer. All of the control functions are disabled, and even 'Info' reports nothing for any video I open.

Versions r30521 and earlier work just fine on my Pentium 4M system.

So, is this problem specific to my system only, or is this a known problem after r30521? Can the problem I'm having be fixed with a setting change?

What is the current 'recommended' version to use from Sherpya or Kovensky?

Adding -nomsgcolor did the trick. Thanks!
