10 sec step back

Postby the waiter » Sat Jan 28, 2012 6:57 pm

At first I have to say, as a Linux newbie I was recommended to install gnome-mplayer. But after time I installed Smplayer just from curiousity. After few days I got rid of Gnome-commander:-)
OK, now about my question: Is it possible to customize the time of step back (left arrow pressed)? It is firmly sets to - 10 s, but I think it is much. When I watch some movies (I am no English native person) and want to get back because of not understanding, I have to wait "long" 10 secs to return to the word I want to hear again.

Thanx for answer...

You can change the number of seconds of the arrow keys in preferences -> interface -> seeking. But in order to work with less than 10 seconds you need the version of smplayer in svn, and mplayer2.

Thanx for your help. It does work as you said through interface -- seeking setup. I did not need mplayer2.
