Remembering the last position in a video file (Ubuntu 10.04)

Postby enverhoxha » Tue Mar 06, 2012 11:05 pm

Until recently I was very happy with an exclusive SMPLayer feature: when closed, it remembered the last position in the played file, thus being able to resume automatically at that same point when I opened the file again. Very convenient if one cannot view a whole movie at once.

I don't understand why, but since a couple of weeks ago this doesn't work anymore!
I know I haven't changed any setting. In the Preferences menu, the case "Media settings - Remember time position" is checked.
I removed and re-installed the program in Ubuntu's Synaptic Package Manager, with no effect.

Any idea?

See if you have enabled the "repeat" option in the Play->AB section menu. That option makes the video to start from the beginning even if the "remember time position" is enabled.
