Lag on play/pause if focus set off smplayer window

How to repeat:
1. Start smplayer with any avi, mp4, etc.... in window (not fullscreen), press Play and resize window so you can access other windows on your desktop.
2. Set Option-Video-StayOnTop to Always or While Playing.
3. Set Option-Preferences-Keyboard and mouse-Mouse-Left Click to Play/Pause.
4. Click on any window on desktop so Smplayer lost focus.
5. Click on video in Smplayer with left button and system freeze for 3-5 seconds and sound begin to stutter during this freeze.

if you make addidional step like
4a. Click on Active title bar of Smplayer
and the step 5 - no problem at all, so seems this lag exist only if smplayer is "off focus" during click on active window for Play/Pause.

I've tried all versions starting 0.6.0 to 0.8.0 and found first time this problem appear in smplayer 0.6.10 (in 0.6.9 works fine)

Just tested in ubuntu 11.10 with gnome classic, it doesn't happen.

Very strange.
I've made addiditional tests and found if in Advanced Preferences add option for mplayer "-vo null" and click on black window while audio plays problem disappear, so it's video related.
May be you can explore code changes from 0.6.9 to 0.6.10 to find potentional places in code to cause some lags on returning focus to smplayer's window by left of right click any place but not in title bar.

May be this is Qt-related question because 0.6.9 compiled with Qt 4.5.1 and 0.6.10 - with Qt 4.7.7 ?

I've tested on some PCs around me with WindowsXP, Windows2008 and Windows7 and can't repeat the problem myself too.
I haven't around another Windows2003 PC so this is Windows2003 or even my PC problem only.
I've tried run test right after boot, check if I have latest video drivers, tried to disable antivirus software... I'm out of ideas now.
Can you give me some hints where I can research more for this problem?

Sorry, can't give you a clue how to solve this problem.
But I can confirm this lag/freezing problem (myself) running SMPlayer 0.8.0 on Windows XP.
Even worse; while SMPlayer is not focused a right or middle click on the video screen also causes this lag/freezing.
On the other hand clicking on the time-slider – while not focused – works fine.
Tried all of different audio and video settings, without result.

The M-player or SMPlayer logs don't give a clue; they just seem not to respond until SMPlayer unfreezes.

This lag/freezing seems to me as a hardware or maybe software conflict.

Some specs:
smplayer-0.8.0-win32.exe
Windows XP home – SP3,
single core AMD sempron 3000+ 1800 MHz,
1400 Mbyte RAM,
Video: (on-board) VIA/S3G Unichrome Pro IGP.

Only workaround I can think of: use a keyboard shortcut for play/pause.
