Saving frames in a different file extension?

Hey,


I'm currently using Smplayer and I was wondering if there's an alternative file extension to save down extracted frames (thumbnail previews) other than Bitmap? (PNG). Whenever I save extracted frames PNG's the only available option, but when it saves the file is Bitmap.
