As I said, if I fix it another problem with the taskbar will appear.
I can anyway try to remove the lines that produce the problem, and see what happens.

This problem also comes up on Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04.

Then that would be very strange, because the code which I think causes the problem is not executed on linux.

Well im not sure if this is the same bug or if it depends on what kind of drivers you have installed.
