Can SMPlayer / MPlayer be set up to use AC3Filter decoder?

I have done a lot of searching on google and haven't found much information. I also tried searching this forum and the term AC3Filter gave 0 results. I want to know if there is a way to set up SMPlayer / MPlayer to use the AC3Filter decoder. The one I am referring to is from this site:

Usually when you use ac3filter it will put an icon in the taskbar which you can click to bring up its config window. This also displays current information about any audio that is playing. I would like to set up SMPlayer to use this filter / decoder exclusively.

I like this decoder a lot. I have setup every media player I have used to use this filter / decoder exclusively. It also allows me to up mix stereo sound into 5.1 or whatever I choose. This filter / decoder also handles a lot of other things. Today is the first time I have tried SMPlayer or MPlayer so I am not yet very familiar with it. Any help would be appreciated.
