Chinese subtitles

Hi

I've been trying to display Chinese subtitles in smplayer (and mplayer), following a number of hints in various forums, but I just can't get it to work. Don't know if my settings/installation are the problem or maybe the problem is my srt file. The file is here:

I think I can manage opening the subtitle file in smplayer but only some numbers appear (acually the timings of the comments,not the comments themselves). Then I set in preferences/subtitles: utf-8 and autodetect for chinese language....

Any ideas?

The format of that file is wrong. Open it in a text editor and replace all "- >" with "-->" and it will work.
