Autoload subtitles stop working

Hi people:

I used the SMPlayer for years and the "autoload subtitles" always worked but suddenly stopped.
The operating system is the same (XP) and the machine is the same (AMD & ATI).
I have reviewed smplayer.ini but found nothing to lead me to the problem.
Can you suggest something, please?

Be sure you have the option "Subtitle visibility" enabled, in the subtitles menu.

Acabo de ver que eres de España. Yo soy de Argentina, así que te escribo en español, que me resulta más cómodo.
Ante nada, gracias por tu respuesta.

Los subtítulos estaban habilitados; el problema no era que no se veían, sino que no se cargaban.
Luego de escribirte seguí buscando en el foro y encontré un problema parecido (ahora no recuerdo cuál era) en el que aconsejaban deshabilitar "Pasar nombres cortos al Mplayer".
Estoy convencido de que siempre tuve tildada esta opción, pero no debió ser así, porque la deshabilité y volvió a funcionar perfectamente.

Bueno, de todas formas, te agradezco nuevamente por tu respuesta y te felicito por tu trabajo.
