where does a downloaded media file go temporarily?

running SMPlayer 0.8.4, the regular (not portable) installation, on Vista 32-bit

Just started using the player. When I allowed a media file download link (in this case, an .mp3 file) in an email to "Open with" SMPlayer, it worked fine. As expected, I saw the download happen; then SMPlayer launched and played the .mp3. Good.

But where did SMPlayer put the file? (I can't find it after the file finished playing.)

Does it auto-delete the file? If so, can it be configured not to?

I guess the file is downloaded by your email client and then the path is passed to smplayer. When playing the file, select Options -> View info and properties and you'll see the location of the file.
